Book of Saints – Clerus


CLERUS (Saint) Martyr (January 7) (4th century) A Syrian deacon, said to have been seven times put to the torture before being beheaded as a Christian. He was martyred at Antioch at the beginning of the fourth century, but whether under Diocletian or under the Emperor Licinius, his successor, is uncertain.
