Book of Saints – Cleonicus, Eutropius and Basiliscus

CLEONICUS, EUTROPIUS and BASILISCUS (Saints) Martyrs (March 3) (3rd century) These Saints belong to a group of forty or fifty Martyrs, victims of the persecu- tion under Diocletian. They were put to death on account of their religion in the Province of Pontus on the Black Sea, towards the close of the third century. The greater number seem to have been soldiers in the Imperial army; but several were crucified, the punishment reserved to slaves.
