CHRISTIANUS (Saint) Abbot (March 18) (12th century) Such reliable information as we have regarding this Saint says that he was the first Abbot of the Cistercian Order in Ireland, and that he was a collateral descendant of Saint Malachy. He is alleged to have acted as Papal Legate at the Council of Kells (A.D. 1152).
