Book of Saints – Briach


BRIACH (Saint) Abbot. (December 17) (6th century) A Saint of Irish birth who became a monk in Wales under Saint Tudwald, whom he accompanied to Brittany. He built a monastery at Guingamp, near the castle of Deroch, Prince of Leon. He died at Bourbiac in the year 570, or, as others say, in 627, and was buried in the local church.
