Book of Saints – Bonosus and Maximianus


BONOSUS and MAXIMIANUS (Saints) Martyrs (August 21) (4th century) Bonosus, an officer of the Herculean Legion, serving under Count Julian, uncle of the Apostate, was tortured and put to death with his comrade Maximinian or Maximilian, for refusing to change the Christian banner, the Labarum of Constantine, for the idolatrous standard of heathen times (A.D. 362).
