Book of Saints – Benedict, John, Isaac, Matthew and Christinus


BENEDICT, JOHN, ISAAC, MATTHEW and CHRISTINUS (Saints) Martyrs (November 12) (11th century) Holy men of the Order of the Camaldolese Hermits, who followed Saint Bruno (otherwise Saint Boniface) into Russia to preach the Gospel. They with some others were put to death by the Pagans at Gnesen in Poland (A.D. 1004), and were canonised many centuries later by Pope Julius II.
