Book of Saints – Barlaam


BARLAAM (Saint) Martyr (November 19) (4th century) A pious peasant, who bravely endured imprisonment and torture for the Faith at Antioch during the persecution under Diocletian and Galerius (A.D. 304). Among the works of Saint Basil there is a panegyric preached on the festival day of Saint Barlaam.
