Book of Saints – Baldred

BALDRED (Saint) Bishop (March 6) (7th century) A Scottish Bishop alleged to have been the successor of Saint Kentigeru or Mungo, at Glasgow, and to have ended his life as a hermit on the coast of the Frith of Forth. The date usually given as that of his death would of course have to be corrected if he could be proved to be (as some surmise) one and the same person with Saint Balther, hermit, also commemorated on March 6.
