Book of Saints – Baldomer


BALDOMER (Saint) Confessor (February 27) (7th century) Better known as Saint Galmier. He was by trade a locksmith at Lyons, and late in life retired to the monastery of Saint Justus under the Abbot Viventius, and was ordained sub-deacon. He died about A.D. 650, and is represented in art carrying pincers and locksmith’s tools. He is reputed the Patron Saint of those of his old trade.
