Book of Saints – Asyncritus


ASYNCRITUS (Saint) Bishop (April 8) (First century) Bishop of Hyrocania on the Caspian Sea, said to have been one of the seventy-two disciples chosen by Christ and mentioned by Saint Paul in his Epistle to the Romans (16:11,14). With him the Church commemorates Saint Herodion, Bishop of Tarsus in Cilicia, and Saint Phlegon, Bishop of Marathon (Greece).
