(Saint) Virgin (December 6) (5th century) Her life virtues and austerity are described in the Epistles of Saint Jerome, where we are told that at the age of twelve years she began to dedicate herself entirely to the service of God. The holy Doctor calls her “a flower of the Lord.” Palladius speaks of having visited her in Rome (A.D. 405), where she was in charge of a community of nuns.
