Book of Saints – Arnold


ARNOLD (Saint) Confessor (July 8) (9th century) A Greek by birth, attached to the Court of the Emperor Charlemagne. He is described as a model of Christian virtue, and has been venerated above all for his devotedness to the poor. He died shortly after the year 800, and has left his name to the village, Arnold-Villiers.
