Book of Saints – Anastasius and Others – 11 January

ANASTASIUS and OTHERS (Saints) (January 11) (6th century) Saint Anastasius was a monk of Mount Soracte near Viterbo (Central Italy), who had formerly been a notary of the Roman Church. Saint Gregory relates that on the day of his death (A.D. 570) he heard a heavenly voice calling: “Anastasius, come.” Several of his fellow-monks whose names were also called out, also died on the same day.
