Book of Saints – Anastasius – 20 May


ANASTASIUS (Saint) Bishop (May 20) (7th century) A Bishop of Brescia in Lombardy who, by his successful preaching, is said to have greatly contributed to the conversion of the Lombard nation from Arianism. The year 610 is given as that of his death. A solemn translation of his relics was celebrated by Saint Charles Borromeo A.D. 1604.
