Book of Saints – Alexander Briant


ALEXANDER BRIANT (Blessed) Martyr (December 1) (16th century) A holy priest, with a ” sweet grace in preaching,” who shortly before his martyrdom joined the Society of Jesus. While in prison for the Faith he was severely racked and otherwise put to many tortures. He suffered at Tyburn, with Blessed Edmund Campion and Blessed Ralph Sherwin, December 1, A.D. 1581.
