Book of Saints – Alexander – 11 January


ALEXANDER (Saint) Bishop Martyr (January 11) (3rd century) A native of Fermo, near Ancona in Italy, who became Bishop of his native city wherein he laboured, “faithful unto death.” He perished in the persecution under the Emperor Decius (A.D. 250). His relics are still enshrined in his Cathedral.
