Book of Saints – Albinus – 2 March


ALBINUS (AUBIN) (Saint) Bishop (March 2) (6th century) A native of the Diocese of Vannes in Brittany, who, after spending a quarter of a century in the cloister, was elected Bishop of Angers (A.D. 529). He took a prominent part in the Third Council of Orleans (A.D. 538). A church and Abbey were erected to his memory at Angers. Saint Aubin de Moeslain (Haute Marne) is a popular place of pilgrimage.
