ABUNDIUS, ABUNDANTIUS, MARCIAN and JOHN (Saints) Martyr (September 16) (3rd or 4th century) Abundius, a Roman Priest, and Abundantius, his deacon, had converted to Christianity Marcian, a citizen of distinction, by miraculously raising to life his son John. The Emperor Diocletian, informed of what had happened, ordered all four to be beheaded together, without the walls of the Imperial City. The precise date, between the years 274 and 308 is uncertain.
