Studied at the seminary at Cuenca, Spain. Ordained a priest on 21 December 1901. Joined the Hermandad de Sacerdotes Operarios Diocesanos (Diocesan Laborer Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) on 12 August 1903. He earned a decree in Canon Law at the seminary of Toledo, Spain. Spiritual director of the seminary in León, Spain in 1935. At the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, he began a ministry in hiding, taking Communion to covert Catholics. Arrested by antiCatholic forces on 9 April 1938, he was moved from prison to prison, beaten and tortured in one place after another, ministering to other until his health finally collapsed. Martyr.
