Profile

Cistercian chorister monk who fled from the persecutions of the French Revolution to the Congregation of Casamari in Veroli, Italy, making his profession on 20 November 1793. Known for his devotion to Eucharistic adoration and the Mass.

When antiChristian French revolutionary soldiers broke into the abbey and scattered reserved Eucharistic Hosts in mockery of the Real Presence, Albertin and some brother monks gathered Them up and started a period of Adoration in the abbey infirmary. The soldiers forced their way into the infirmary and murdered the monks. Martyr.
