A god, whose worship the Sepharvites introduced and perpetuated in Samaria, after the overthrow of the Kingdom of Israel and the capture of the capital by Sargon, King of Assyria (4 Kings, 17); probably another name for the Babylonian god Anu. To Anammelech the Sepharvites offered their children in holocaust.
