Zabulon

Article

One of the twelve sons of Jacob, ancestor of the tribe of the same name which plays an important part in Israelite history. The territory of the latter began with Sarid (Joshua 19), about 5 miles southwest of Nazareth, included the land near Carmel and the sea, as far as the Lake of Genesareth, and part of the Plain of Esdraelon, and was largely the scene of Christ’s life and labors as related in the Gospels.
