Nurse. She became a Sister of Charity in 1835, and during the Civil War in America was called “Ministering Angel of the Army of the Tennessee.” The Hospital of the Good Samaritan, Cincinnati, Ohio was a gift to Sister Anthony from some Protestant business men of that city, and she was in charge of if from 1866 to 1882.
