Friend of Saint Columbanus. Missionary to Switzerland. Built a monastery at Saint Ursanne in the Swiss Juras, and served as its abbot. He could not bear wine nor those who served it to him. Venerated at Basel, Switzerland; Besançon, France; and Mainz, Germany.
