Born to the wealthy, Visigoth nobility. When his parents died, Saturio sold his inheritance, gave away the proceeds to the poor, and retired from the world to live for 30 years as a hermit in a cave in the Sierra de Santa Ana near Soria, Spain. Built a chapel dedicated to Micheal the Archangel, to whom he had a great devotion. He would often come down from the hermitage to preach and teach in the towns and villages in the region. Preached against Arianism.
