New Catholic Dictionary – Saint Archippus


(1st century) Companion of Saint Paul; possibly of Colossae or of Laodicea. In his Epistle to the Colossians, Paul bids him “take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.” According to tradition he was one of the 72 disciples. He is honored as a martyr. Feast, 20 March.
