Born to a poor family. Joined the Poor Clare nuns in Assisi, Italy in May 1845, eventually serving as their Mother Vicaress. She had a great devotion to the Eucharist, and to prayer for the success of missionaries. She was known as a mystic, a miracle worker, and for the visions and revelations she received. Her Cause for Canonization has opened.
