(Saint) Bishop (December 26) (4th century) A Christian of Gaza in Palestine. In the disasters of the reign of Julian the Apostate, this Saint Zeno did his utmost to ensure the escape of his three cousins, Saints Eusebius, Nestabus and Zeno, whom, however, he did not succeed in saving from the fury of the heathen mob. Later, he was made Bishop of Majuma, that is, in effect, of Gaza in Palestine. He died about A.D. 399, though there are those who contend that he survived well into the fifth century.
