(Winwalorus) (Saint) (March 3) Abbot (6th century) Born in Brittany of parents exiled from England, he was related to Saints Cadfan, Salomon, Cybi and others. His monastery at Landevenec near Brest was governed by him till his death in the first quarter of the sixth century. More than one Cornish church bears his name, so that there is a connection between him and that county; but the traditions concerning him are very contradictory, and there may well have been more than one Saint of his name.
