(Saint) Bishop Martyr (September 5) (2nd century) Tradition describes him as a Bishop of one of the country towns in the environs of Rome, in the Sub-Apostolic Age. Under the Emperor Trajan, he laid down his life for Christ; but modern research tends to identify him with the Saint Victorinus, a priest, fellow-sufferer with Saint Maro (April 15).
