(September 5) (Saints) Martyrs (4th century) Eighty Catholic priests and clerics who in the time of the Emperor Valens (A.D. 370) were condemned to death at Constantinople at the instigation of the dominant Arian faction. They were placed in a ship, which was set on fire; and they were burned with it in the Bosphorus.
