(Saint) Bishop (October 21) (7th century) An Irish Saint who came over to Northumbria and succeeded Saint Colman in the See of Lindisfarne. He was a zealous supporter of the Roman practice in regard to the date of Easter. He was a man of ability and of holy life, promising a useful Episcopate; but unhappily a pestilence then raging carried him off in the very first year of his government of the Diocese (A.D. 664). It is not certain that he ever enjoyed the honour of a public cultus.
