(Saint) Martyr (August 11) (3rd century) The son of a highly placed Official in the Imperial Court in Rome who, accused of being a Christian, was put upon his trial, sentenced and beheaded outside the walls of the City, at the beginning of the reign of Diocletian (A.D. 286).
