(Saint) Bishop (March 7) (9th century) An Asiatic monk, disciple of Saint Tharasius, Patriarch of Constantinople, by whom he was consecrated Bishop of Nicomedia. He bravely upheld the Catholic practice of venerating Sacred Pictures and statues against the Iconoclast Emperors of his time.
