(Saint) Martyr (February 7) (4th century) A General in the army of the Emperor Licinius. The latter continued to persecute Christianity in the East even after the general peace of the Church had been assured by Constantine. Saint Theodore was one of the victims of Licinius. He suffered at Heraclea in Thrace (A.D. 318), and is greatly venerated by the Greeks.
