(Saint) Virgin (November 10) (10th century) A Greek Saint who lived as a Recluse in one of the islets of the AEgean Sea, and who is greatly venerated in the East. There has come down to us a charming narrative of a visit paid to her by a contemporary, an Official of the Imperial Court. He tells us how he had brought to Theoclistes the Lord’s Body in a pyx, and how she, on receiving the Bread of Life, forthwith sang her Nunc dimittis and passed from this world.
