Book of Saints – Socrates and Dionysius

(Saints) Martyrs (April 19) (3rd century) Martyrs in Pamphylia (Asia Minor) under the Emperor Aurelian (A.D. 270275). They are stated as having been stabbed to death, which points to their having perished from the fury of a mob, rather than to a regular execution after trial.
