(Saints) Martyrs (July 29) (4th century) Simplicius and Fortunatus, two brothers, were beheaded in Rome as Christians under Diocletian (A.D. 303), and to their remains an honourable burial was given by their sister Beatrix, who herself was soon afterwards arrested and strangled in prison.
