(Saint) Martyr (November 14) (3rd century) A Christian of Alexandria in Egypt who perished in a riot raised by the Pagans against the Christians. He was grievously maltreated, and in the end cast down from the roof of his own house, a high building, by the infuriated mob (A.D. 252).
