(Saint) Virgin Martyr (January 15) (3rd century) A Christian maiden, scourged to death in the neighbourhood of Rome, in the persecution under the Emperor Decius (A.D. 250). Her martyrdom was the occasion of many miracles and of many conversions to Christianity.
