(Saint) Martyr (October 11) (4th century) An Egyptian and a disciple of Saint Antony. He is mentioned by Saint Jerome. He was put to death in his monastery by a band of wandering Arabs (A.D. 357), but has always been honoured as a Martyr for having suffered in the cause of right.
