Book of Saints – Ruffillus

(Saint) Bishop (July 18) (4th century) An Athenian sent by Pope Saint Sylvester to preach Christianity at Forlimpopoli in Central Italy. He is accounted Apostle and first Bishop of that city. He died (A.D. 382) after forty-seven years of Episcopate. Forlimpopoli was destroyed in war (A.D. 1360), when the See was transferred to Bertinora, and the Relics of the Saint were enshrined anew at Forli.
