(Saint) Bishop (July 29) (5th century) A Bishop of Orleans (France), who seems to have been the immediate successor of Saint Anianus (A.D. 453). By the writers of the next few centuries this Saint Prosper has so often been confused with his contemporary, or contemporaries, Saint Prosper of Aquitaine and Saint Prosper of Reggio, that nothing certain can be set down concerning his life.
