(Saint) Bishop (October 24) (5th century) A disciple of Saint John Chrysostom, and, like him, a Patriarch of Constantinople. He died A.D. 446, in the thirteenth year of his Episcopate, endeared to his flock by his patience and gentleness. All the time left him by his Pastoral duties he spent in prayer and the reading of spiritual books.
