(Saint) Bishop (May 14) (6th century) He was for twenty-eight years Bishop of Naples, where his shrine is in great veneration. Pope Saint John I, in an Epistle he wrote from his prison, commends Saint Pomponius for his zeal and courage in confuting the Arians, then under the patronage of Theodoric, King of the Ostro-Goths. Not much else is now known of the Saint.
