(Saint) (May 12) (Date unknown) A holy missionary sent by the Holy See to preach the Gospel in Sicily, and to whom the conversion to Christianity of a great part of the island is attributed. His shrine is in the little hill-town of Agirone. The legends concerning him are so contradictory, and in most part so improbable, that they afford no firm ground for the work of the historian.
