(Saint) Martyr (September 13) (3rd century) The father of Saint Eugenia, in whose household Saints Protus and Hyacinth were employed. Saint Philip was of high rank and occupied a post of importance at Alexandria in Egypt. It was there that he gave his life for Christ, but in which of the third century persecutions is uncertain.
