(Saint) Bishop, Martyr (December 6) (13th century) A Spanish Saint, Religious of the Order of Our Lady of Ransom. He was a pious and learned man, sometime tutor to the son of the King of Aragon. He was appointed Bishop of Jaen (A.D. 1296). Four years later, at Granada, he fell into the power of the Infidel Moors, by whom he was put to death on Saint Stephen’s day (December 26) A.D. 1230.
