(Saint) Bishop (September 10) (5th century) An Archbishop of Lyons of whom Saint Sidonius Apollinaris, his contemporary and admirer, testifies that, despite the austerity of his life, he made himself “all things to all men.” He played his part zealously in repressing the heresies of his time; but his memory remains in especial benediction among the poor and distressed, not only of his own Diocese, but of other parts of Gaul. To their relief he devoted all his revenues.
