(Saints) Martyrs (July 9) (4th century) Egyptians burned to death as Christians under Julian the Apostate (A.D. 363). Saint Copres had yielded an instant to the seductions of the idolaters, but was reconverted on witnessing the courage of Saint Patermuthias and fastened to the stake with him. The Relics of these Martyrs are venerated in Rome, whither they were translated from Alexandria.
